Our Practice Areas

Our firm has a rich history of adapting to the changing needs of our clients. Initially, we were known for our work in insurance defense. However, as times have changed, so have we. We have shifted our focus to meet the growing demand for different legal services.

  • Personal injury: We help clients who have been injured in collisions or negligence. Our goal is to secure fair compensation for their injuries and losses.
  • Traffic violations: We defend clients against traffic-related charges. Whether it’s a speeding ticket or a more serious offense, we work hard to protect your rights and driving record.
  • Corporate law: We offer legal guidance to businesses, from startups to established companies.
  • Civil litigation: Our experience serving injury victims has given us the trial experience to help clients with an array of civil disputes.
  • Estate Planning: We help local families preserve their legacies by drafting wills, setting up trusts, and creating end-of-life documents such as advance healthcare directives and powers of attorney.
  • Family Law: We help families begin the next chapter of their lives when a marriage ends, offering advice and representation in divorce proceedings, child custody and support matters, and property division.

This shift from insurance defense to these areas shows our commitment to addressing the changing needs of clients in Lynchburg. We understand the importance of meeting our clients’ needs and staying ahead in a changing legal landscape.

George Evans Caskie & E. Marshall Frost

Local Roots

In 1896, George Evans Caskie opened the “Caskie Firm” in Lynchburg, Virginia. At the time, few could have predicted that well into the 21st century, the firm Mr. Caskie founded would be one of the most respected and prestigious law firms in Central Virginia.

Thirty years after Mr. Caskie founded the firm, his son, James R. Caskie, formed a partnership with E. Marshall Frost to establish Caskie & Frost, the name the firm still proudly carries.
